End of Summer Basics
I’ve decided to save my creative energy and pack some rotational wardrobe staples for my last weekend of Summer at the beach!
NYC
It’s been a crazy few weeks! I had a last minute job pop up in LA. I had originally closed my office for 2 weeks this month anticipating a slow August (most of the fashion industry shuts down) but the universe works in mysterious ways and back to work I went!
I am gearing up for a busy September with fashion month approaching and clients ready to shop for their Fall wardrobes. I am in the mindset of forward thinking my personal wardrobe!
So for the last weekend of Summer (I know we still have a few weeks left but it’s back to school for most of us) I am heading to Shelter Island and I’m going back to the basics for my packing list. Because let’s face it - I’m saving my creative energy!
Last night my friend, Glo was complimenting a white T-shirt that I have been wearing on rotation for years. She said multiple times “no it’s literally the perfect t-shirt”. She has followed me up on the link to it (twice) today so I figured it would be a good place to start for my Shelter Island packing list and to share with you!
If there is something to learn about how I dress myself (and clients) I really love to stick to the basics but add a little pop of color or fashion-y accessories.
Some of these items I am quite literally packing as we speak (and yes I substack and pack because procrastination is key).
So back to the basics we go:
